XXX

Amsterdam is the best place ever. It is the pinnacle of human civilization. In Amsterdam, it's Christmas everyday. We definitely saved the best for last. Amsterdam wins. I bought a flag to hang in my room in la so I can remember the freedom and glory of Amsterdam everyday. It is the most ridiculous place I have ever encountered and I couldn't love it anymore. Anything goes in Amsterdam and the best part is the "Anything" is always acceptable. I have never seen a more diverse group of people anywhere else. There was literally every type of person you can think of in Amsterdam doing their own thing. There were vacationing families, married couples, college students, old people shopping, young people shopping, people drugged out of their minds. Everyone, from everywhere. I'm pretty sure there was at least one person from everywhere. Every language was heard and every ethnicity was seen. It was packed as hell too and I couldn't have asked for it to be any different. On one street it was some crazy ass festival with a bunch of drunk people and a handful of tranny's parading around. Live music was everywhere and street performers were just performing to their hearts content. So many tight performaces. We saw a band jaming some smooth smooth beats. A breakdancing crew that did some of the crazyiest moves ever. Oh man. During the band jam sesh, one guy, just on another plane of existance, on higher frequency than anyone, torn out of his mind on drugs walked out in front of the band and did the strangest dance thing i've ever seen. And he was so drugged out that he stayed infront of them the full 45 minutes or so like grabbing at invisible sound waves and fluttering about. They gave him a free cd in the end. Ah, I love Amsterdam. And how could I forget the best part of Amsterdam. The Red Light District. Most entertaining place of all time. That place is just unreal. Nick and I went there every night and each time it was just as entertaining. Being American means you don't realize how prude you are until the shit gets real. And in Amsterdam shit gets real. It gets so real its surreal. It's just too good to be true. It is so entertaing to walk by windows watch and listen to interactions between prospective clientel and prostitute. The thousands of catcalls and reactions you get from the wonderful ladies of the night never got old. We also went to Casa Rosa, the famous sex show, known for its famous acts such as the Cigar Trick, or the Banana Trick. I don't think I need to describe. If all this sounds too wrong then you don't get Amsterdam. There is no wrong in Amsterdam, and it feels so right. I am so glad we are going back during study abroad. Nick and I also bought classy Red Light District shirts because we had to support it one way or another since we didn't support it directly. I also read an article that they are trying to close the Red Light District by December. This is the worst thing that could ever be done. It is a crime against humanity. If you haven't been to Amsterdam go there now because if they do close it will never be the same. If it does happens the Prostitutes better join up Sin City style and start the revolution. I'll be Dwight.

Amsterdam = Paper Planes by MIA for all the right reasons

And side note,Amsterdam's flag is three X's. Techincally three St. Andrew's crosses. How flawless is that. The flag of Amsterdam is XXX. Fly that flag hard Amsterdam. Fly it hard.
